Hong Kong City Hall, Central|HKRep: Project Kite 24-25 Public Reading(Refining Phase)
Description
A kite flies into the sky and needs a line; but after flying into the sky, it needs to be seen.
The line, can be the subtle bond of their love between two men who are thirty-one years apart; it can be the accumulation and interlacing of cause and effect between the humiliation of a fisherman and the sacrifice of a butcher for the country; it can be the gravitational force between the planets, so that the scars of a man and a woman echo each other;
Since last year, the Kite program has collected nearly 100 scripts, with the troupe selecting eight works for public reading between January and March this year. The screenwriter revised the script after the performance, and the artistic team selected four more works from it to refine and meet the audience again in September.
Welcome to join us in the flight of kites and witness the original script flying to higher and farther skies.

“Those 31 years in between us will always be here, no matter how hard you try to catch up, you won’t be able to catch up.”
Daniel, who was born in the 1960s, and Daniel, who was born in the 1990s, met through dating software and were deeply attracted to each other. However, the large age gap often highlights their differences in growth backgrounds, life habits and values, and leads to a dissynchronization of life stages and futures. A love affair with a gap of 31 years, is a word of deep love enough to make the two forget the number of years and bring them closer to each other?
